Other Variants of Backgammon
Misere (Backgammon to Lose)
This version of backgammon is played just like the regular game, except the object of the game is to lose! The last player off wins. All other rules of the game are the same as in backgammon.
Bradspel
A Swedish version of backgammon, which is also called Swedish Tables in English. The spirit of the game not to use a doubling cube.
Old English Backgammon
In this game both players start with their checkers off the board. Also, doubles are played on either side of the dice.
Acey Duecey
A variation in which you start with no checkers on the board. These checkers are not in play yet, and are not treated like checkers on the bar.
